Scots Open Season at Kenyon Relays

GAMBIER -- The College of Wooster men's and women's swimming and diving teams kicked off its season in Gambier for the Kenyon College Relay Invite.

In this unique, relay-based event, both the men and women came out in fourth of the five teams who competed.

Some notable results are included below.

For the men, Isaac ShakerWill LaymonBoston Sullivan and Max Likins finished third in the 200 back relay with a time of 1:41.64.

Shaker, Tucker Andrewjeski and Josh Pearson placed fifth in the 3x500 free relay (15:43.90).

In the 200 free relay, Callum Glover, Sullivan, Will Laubacher and Ryan Gross swam a 1:29.82 for sixth.

The 200 breast relay of Ryan Stokes, Andrewjeski, Nathan Ferrence and Sullivan finished seventh (1:55.24). Gross, Glover, Shaker and Pearson teamed to finish ninth in the 500-crescendo relay (4:28.46).

Also, Pearson, Shaker, Andrewjeski, Sullivan placed 11th (3:51.71) in the 400 IM relay.

In the diving portion, Leo Edwards was second in the 3-meter with 159.25 points and second in the 1-meter at 193.25 points.

The women had a pair of fifth place finishes.

The Scots finished fifth in the 200 breast relay (2:13.86) behind a team of Maddie BeckerIzzy BellefleurMariam Zayour and Vicky Maumbe.

Kate PeckEmma Connors and Emma Humbert placed fifth in the 3x500 free relay (16:48.97).

Elsewhere, the 200 back relay team of Hallie Findlan, Becker, Humbert and first-year Tara McGovern finished seventh in the 200 back relay (1:56.13).

Keara Wiley, Findlan, Ollie Bream and Peck also placed seventh (4:56.09) in the 500-crescendo relay.

Bream, Becca Murray, McGovern and Wiley placed ninth in the 200 fly relay (1:53.25).

The 200 medley relay team came in 11th behind the team of McGovern, Becker,  Bream and Findlan. Becker, Zayour, Bellefleur and Bream also placed 11th in the 400 IM relay (4:23.98).

Findlan, Becker, Bream and Wiley secured 11th (1:45.38) in the 200 free relay as well.

Cady Eakins placed seventh in the 1 meter with 114.85 points.

The Scots return to the pool on Oct. 28 when they host Malone College on Black & Gold Weekend.
