The College of Wooster men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America team honors for the fall 2023 semester, as announced recently by the coaching organization. Nearly 800 teams from just over 460 institutions earned the award.
Wooster's men's team posted a 3.48 GPA, while the women came in at 3.46.
Forty-one Fighting Scots posted a GPA of at least 3.5 during the fall semester, with 22 (73.3 percent of women's team) coming from the women's team and 19 (65.5 percent of men's team) from the men's. All 41 of those Scots will be recognized at halftime of the Feb. 7 women's basketball game as part of the inaugural Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
To qualify, teams must have achieved at least a 3.0 GPA for the most recent academic semester.
