Behind a very strong showing in the 10,000 meters, The College of Wooster's men's team finished 15th at the All-Ohio Div. III Track & Field Championships held on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University, and the Fighting Scots' women's team was right around the same position, 16th-place.

Wooster took two of the top-five spots among the 36 competitors in the men's 10,000 meters, with Luke Hutchings-Goetz covering the grueling race in 33:10.12 for third-place and teammate Joe David less than 10 seconds behind and in fifth (33:19.83). The Scots nearly had a third scorer in the event, as Morgan Clark crossed in ninth-place (33:35.27), and they should make a formidable trio when racing the event again at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships in a few weeks.

Another third-place showing was turned in by Mark Stair in the high jump, as he cleared 6 feet, 8 inches, and Wooster's remaining scorer was David Brew, who ran to a seventh-place in the 800 meters (1:56.76), while Matt Margida and Blake Pecoraro were narrowly out of the top-eight, taking ninth in the shot put (45 feet, 11.25 inches) and 10th in the 5000 meters (15:41.42), respectively.

In the women's competition, Hilary Coady had already scored team points via a fifth-place performance in the All-Ohio heptathlon last week and added more via a third-place effort in the 400-meter hurdles with a 1:04.84 time on Saturday.

The Scots had two scoring relays. Ashley Huddson, Lauren Buyan, Coady, and Edith Anderson teamed for a fifth-place in the 4x400 (4:05.56), and the 4x100 consisting of Paris Nahas, Anderson, Kara Johnson, and Kennedy Payne were seventh (50.53).

Individually, Nahas sprinted her way to eight-place in the 200 meters (26.36) and was just outside of the team scoring in the 100 via a 10th-place (12.77).

Next Saturday, Wooster's full squad will be at the Kenyon Invitational.
