The College of Wooster's men's and women's track and field teams each had an individual champion at the Kenyon Invitational, as Hilary Coady helped the women to third-place out of 13 teams with a win in the 400 meter hurdles and Mark Stair was victorious in the high jump as part of the men's seventh-place finish on Saturday afternoon at Gambier, Ohio.

Coady stood out in her signature events, as she not only bested 21 others in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:04.20, but she also placed fourth in the 100 hurdles (1:04.20).

Two other Scot women came just shy of individual wins, as Christina Haupt was second in the 5000 meter run in 19:13.43 and Kendra Shehy took second in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4 feet, 10 inches.

In addition, it was a strong day for Paris Nahas, who was fourth in a field of 34 in the 200 meter dash (26.06) and fifth in the 100 meters (12.80), as well as Lauren Buyan, who placed fourth in the 1500 meters when she crossed the finish line in 4:59.43.

The men's team got a boost from first-year Stair, who kept up his impressive season in the high jump with a win at 6 feet, 5 inches. Also scoring key team points was thrower Matt Margida with third-place in the shot put (46 feet, 6 inches) and fifth in the discus (133 feet, 8 inches).

Another highlight came from sophomore Tyler Catlin, who set a new program record in the hammer throw with 147 feet, which put him fourth out of 35 in the event.

Rounding out the men's top performers were Luke Hutchings-Goetz (15:54.52) and Morgan Clark (16:03.94), as the duo finished back-to-back in the 5000 meter run, good for fourth and fifth, respectively, while Roy Hadfield took sixth in the 1500 meter run (4:10.56) and Ben Kingstone was also sixth in the 200 meter dash (23.12).

The Scots final tune-up for the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships will be Friday when they compete at the Denison Invitational.
