Hilary Coady completed her junior year at The College of Wooster by becoming an All-American for the first time in her standout career on Saturday, as she finished seventh-place during the finals of the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at Canton, N.Y.

A regular at nationals, Coady competed in the 400 hurdles and heptathlon at the 2014 outdoor meet and the pentathlon at the 2015 indoor meet, however, this is the first time she finished in the top-eight, thus earning a spot on the All-America Team.

After cruising around the track and winning her preliminary heat in 1:01.65 on Thursday, Coady was slotted in the No. 4 lane and she posted a similar time of 1:02.15 – the third-fastest performance of her career. That resulted in her crossing before two other competitors and becoming Wooster's first track All-American since former teammate Abena Boamah-Acheampong did so in the 2011 outdoor high jump.

Coady, a two-time North Coast Athletic Conference champion in the 400 hurdles, heads into the off-season with hopes of continuing to cut time in the hurdles as well as to improve in all areas of the multi-events.

Marissa Mahr, a senior from the University of Wis.-La Crosse, won the championship with an impressive sub-minute time (59.55).
