Continuing to develop as a pole vaulter and has the potential to make the next step, according to the coaching staff.
2016 Indoor: Top clearance in the pole vault was 11 feet, 0.25 inches, coming at the Bob Shannon Invitational (Feb. 6).
2015 Outdoor: Just missed scoring in the pole vault at the NCAC Championships (May 1-2), taking ninth via a mark of 11 feet, 1.75 inches.
2015 Indoor: Competed four times in the pole vault … Best clearance was 10 feet at the Fighting Scots Invitational (Jan. 31).
Prior to Wooster: Member of the cross country and track & field programs at Albuquerque Academy.
Personal: Born Oct. 1, 1995 … Son of Kevin and Leslie Nowell … Majoring in geology and studio art.
