Hilary Coady of The College of Wooster earned all-Ohio honors in the pentathlon for the second consecutive season as she finished third while upping her school record to 3,387 points at Saturday's portion of the All-Ohio Div. III Track & Field Championships, hosted by Denison University at Granville, Ohio. Teammate Carolyn Webster was not far behind in sixth-place (2,989 points).

Wooster was the only school in the state to place two individuals within the top-eight. Those team points will be included next weekend when the rest of the All-Ohio meet takes place.

Coady's 3,387 points marked the sixth-highest pentathlon score in NCAA Div. III this year and was 23 points better than her previous best. The senior standout got off to a solid start with a 9.49 time in the 60 hurdles, about a quarter of a second off her school record, then notched a career best in the high jump, clearing 5 feet, 4.5 inches.

Next, Coady continued to show improvement in the shot put with a strong mark of 34 feet, 9.5 inches, followed by a 15-foot, 7-inch long jump. She closed the meet on a high note, pacing the 16 competitors in the 800 meters in 2:26.82.

Notable, the all-Ohio meet showcased three of the top-six pentathlon scores in the nation. Slightly ahead of Coady were Melanie Winters of Baldwin Wallace University (3,651) and Denison's Aedin Brennan (3,562).

Webster, a first-year competing in the pentathlon for the first time, excelled in the high jump as she reached 5 feet, 5.75 inches – the second-highest mark in the field. Other highlights for her included breaking the 10-second barrier in the 60 hurdles for the first time (9.95) and producing a long jump of 16 feet, 3.75 inches.
