The College of Wooster men's and women's track & field teams both placed 12th during Saturday's All-Ohio Championships, held at Otterbein University's Clements Recreation Center in Westerville, Ohio.

Individually for the Fighting Scots, Carolyn Webster led the way as the first-year standout earned an all-Ohio honor with a third-place performance in the high jump. She needed just seven attempts to clear the first five heights, topping out at 5 feet, 4.5 inches. Webster also narrowly missed out on scoring in the long jump – one of a combined seven ninth-places for Wooster athletes.

Paris Nahas, returning from injury, improved upon her seed time to take sixth overall in the 200 meters at 26.44 seconds. Nahas also was part of the fifth-place 4x400 relay, joining forces with Emani Kelley, Julia Higgins, and Hilary Coady (4:08.13).

The top finisher for the Scots' men's team was senior thrower Matt Margida, who was close to a career high in the shot put. His mark of 48 feet, 2.75 inches resulted in a fourth-place showing.

Another strong individual performance came from Alex Chabraja, as the distance specialist did notch a personal-best time during the 5000 meters and earned sixth overall (15:27.32).

Rounding out the scoring was Wooster's young distance medley relay team, consisting of freshmen Jacob Denbeaux, Cullen King, Simon Weyer, and Brian Lief, a group that took sixth (10:34.38).

The Scots' full squad will return to competition next Saturday at the Kenyon Classic.
