The College of Wooster men's and women's track and field programs wrapped up action at the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday afternoon at Oberlin College, as the Fighting Scots came away with two all-conference performances on the women's side to highlight the second and final day at John W. Heisman Field House.
Ohio Wesleyan University won the men's side with 164 points while Oberlin stood atop the women's standings with 181. Wooster's men's team finished the weekend in eighth place while the women dropped back a spot from Friday's conclusion to finish in fifth.

After winding up the 2016-17 women's basketball season at last week's conference tournament, first-year Akwia Tilton leaped into all-NCAC honors – and nearly an indoor program record – in the long jump in what was her first competitive appearance, as the first-year came off the board clean in her last attempt, extending to 17 feet, 8 inches and laying claim to second-place honors. The current school record stands at 18 feet even set by Justina Williams in 2001.
Sophomore Carolyn Webster, who last week became the first Scot to win the NCAC women's Pentathlon championship, ended the overall competition on a strong note by finishing as the top point earner on the women's side.
After missing out on all-conference honors by 1.75 inches in the long jump (17 feet, 5.75 inches), Webster came through in the high jump, an event which she co-holds the indoor school record in with Abena Boamah-Acheampong at 5 feet, 6 inches. With four competitors left at 5 feet, 5 inches and two already through to the next height, Webster went toe to toe with Ohio Wesleyan's Tiffany Moore, as the sophomore standout got up and over on her third and final attempt en route to third place and all-conference honors.
Other individual scoring performances included senior Taryn Szalay in the 60-meter hurdles, as she crossed the finish line at 9.61 for fifth place, while Webster trailed by a fraction, claiming sixth with a clip of 9.63.
Shifting to mid-distance, sophomore Cobi Warstler crossed the finish in sixth place in the women's 800 (2:28.05), and in the longer sprints, first-year Regan Szalay wrapped up the individual Scot scorers in running events with an eighth-place time of 1:01.58.
In the pole vault, junior Mackenzie Kellar cleared 9 feet, 7.25 inches to finish in eighth place.
Scoring relays for the women included the 4x200 quartet of Regan Szalay, Taryn Szalay, Korri Palmer and Emma Sullivan (1:51.47) and the 4x400 foursome of Regan Szalay, Emani Kelley, Kellar and Tilton (4:10.55), both of which finished in fifth place.
On the men's side, sophomore Jacob Denbeaux posted an individual scoring effort with a seventh-place time in the 3K (9:02.31). In the 4x200, the team of Jordan Dennis, Austin Hamlett, Myles Parker and Justin Fox clocked in at 1:35.38 for sixth place, while in the 4x400, the quartet of Hamlett, Parker, Jack Petrecca and Simon Weyer placed seventh at 3:35.60.
