Junior Jack Petrecca set a new personal record of 6 feet, 7 inches to win the men's high jump and junior Carolyn Webster earned her fourth career All-Ohio certificate as The College of Wooster track & field programs wrapped up competition at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday evening in Westerville, Ohio.

In all, Wooster totaled three top-five claims and five top-eight finishes. Petrecca cleared 6 feet, 7 inches on his third and final try to edge competitors from Ohio Wesleyan University and the University of Mount Union, both of whom tapped out at 6 feet, 6 inches. The All-Ohio honor marks the first of his career.

Junior David Westcott claimed the other men's top-five finish, missing out on All-Ohio honors in the 5,000 meter by just over six seconds with a fifth-place time of 15:38.79 and besting his previous personal record by nearly 30 seconds (16:07.95).

The 4x400 relay, which consisted of Petrecca, Justin Fox, Matt Klonowski and Brian Lief, ended up in 11th place (3:39.66), while the 4x200 quartet of Fox, Jordan Dennis, Cam Pollard, and Drake Pence finished just outside of scoring contention with a ninth-place time of 1:36.43.

Wrapping up individual contestants on the men's side were senior Tom Helsel in the triple jump (39 feet, 3.75 inches) and senior Jacob Nowell in the pole vault (11 feet, 5.75 inches). Both student-athletes finished in 15th place.

On the women's end, junior Carolyn Webster earned her fourth career All-Ohio certificate with a season-best leap of 5 feet, 3 inches in the high jump, good for third-place. Continuing with the jumps, senior Elizabeth Obi turned in a pair of scoring performances after placing sixth in the triple jump (34 feet, 5 inches) and eighth in the high jump after finishing .5 inches under her collegiate best (5 feet, .5 inches).

First-year Georgia Hopps-Weber rounded out the remaining individual Scots with a 13th-place finish in the pole vault (10 feet, 3.25 inches).

As for the relays, the quartet of junior Erika Womack, Julia Higgins, Emma Sullivan, and Regan Szalay claimed 10th place (1:52.18) while the 4x400 team of Higgins, Szalay, Zoe Covey, and Emani Kelley took home 11th place (4:22.92).

Up next, Wooster competes at the Kenyon Classic on Saturday, Feb. 17 in Gambier, Ohio.
