2018 Div. III USTFCCCA Indoor Track & Field All-Region Release

Juniors Jack Petrecca and Carolyn Webster, of The College of Wooster track and field program, earned All-Great Lakes Region certificates for their performances during the indoor season, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday.

Webster earned all-region honors in the high jump and pentathlon, and her certificates are the junior's fifth- and sixth-career all-region citations. Webster's 3,150 points in the pentathlon during the North Coast Athletic Conference's Multi-Events Championships ranked as the second-highest score in the Great Lakes Region this winter. In the high jump, Webster's season-best showing of 5 feet, 5.25 inches was tied for the third-highest in the region.

Petrecca, an all-region honoree for the first time, upped his career-high in the high jump to 6 feet, 7 inches at the All-Ohio Championships. Petrecca's mark was tied for the fifth-best in the Great Lakes Region.

The USTFCCCA awards all-region certificates to the top five individuals in each event and top three relays from each of the eight regions. Notable, Petrecca's Wooster's first male student-athlete to earn all-region honors since the coaches' organization starting award them during the 2015-16 season.
