David Westcott

The College of Wooster's David Westcott logged a career-best time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at last week's Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, and on Monday, the North Coast Athletic Conference rewarded the senior with its Player of the Week honor for distance and middle-distance events.

Westcott crossed at 9:18.36 at last week's meet, which marked a near 16-second improvement from his previous career-best time of 9:34.21 at last year's Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet. His time is currently second in Div. III.

Westcott and his Wooster teammates are back in action at the Wooster Invitational, held March 29-30.
