The College of Wooster's Ainsley Wiesner improved upon an already-held school record and soared up to 18th nationally in the weight throw on Saturday. That performance garnered North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors for women's field events on Tuesday.

Wiesner upped the weight throw school record for the second time this season en route to winning the event at the All-Ohio Championships. Wiesner's winning throw of 55 feet, 11.75 inches was the best in the field by over 4.5 feet. She went 36 feet, 11.75 inches in the shot put, which marked another personal best.

This is Wiesner's second NCAC Athlete of the Week award. The first came during the 2023 outdoor season after breaking the school record in the hammer throw.

Wooster competes at Kenyon College on Friday, Feb. 16 in the final meet before the NCAC Championships.
