Jeju Sprints to NCAC Honors

Three first-place finishes and three records, two of which were in the sprints, led to first-year King Jeju scoring North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors for the second time. Jeju was this week's men's sprints and hurdles honoree.

Jeju led the field in the 60 meters (6.85), 200 meters (22.25), and long jump (23 feet, 8.75 inches) at Saturday's All-Ohio Championships and finished as the runner-up in the triple jump (45 feet, 5.75 inches). Jeju's school records came in the 60 meters, 200 meters, and triple jump. He already broke the 60-meter dash record earlier in the year. On Saturday, Jeju took down a 24-year-old record in the 200 meters and a 31-year-old school record in the triple jump.

Jeju is currently seeded first within the NCAC in all four events. He is fifth nationally in the long jump, 14th in the 60 meters, 35th in the 200 meters, and 40th in the triple jump.

Wooster competes at Kenyon College on Friday, Feb. 16 in the final meet before the NCAC Championships.
