DePauw University had its remarkable 58-game win streak snapped over the weekend, but the Tigers got back to their winning ways on Tuesday evening, as they knocked the Fighting Scots out of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament by a 71-40 tally in quarterfinal action at the Neil Fieldhouse in Greencastle, Ind.

Wooster (7-18) has performed better in the second half of games for most of the season and tonight was no different, as the Scots limited the No. 4 ranked team in NCAA Div. III to just 31 points over the last 20 minutes, while scoring 23.

Wooster had its most competitive stretch during the closing 3:56, as it outscored DePauw (25-1) by six points with an 11-5 run, which included six points from Lauren Hancher, an old-fashioned three-point play by Maura Hall, and a bucket from Paige Fabry in the paint.

Overall, Karley Walker led the Scots with nine points, coming on three 3-pointers, while Hancher chipped in eight points to go along with three steals, two rebounds, and two assists. Hall added six points and three boards and Suvi Puripattarapan went 2-for-4 from the field for five points.

DePauw was balanced with 13 players chipping in at least one point. Hannah Douglas paced the Tigers with 12 points, which included five of the team's 20 free throw makes.
