Anna Gibbs

After helping lead The College of Wooster women's basketball team to its first North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament appearance in three years, sophomore Anna Gibbs capped off the 2016-17 campaign with All-NCAC honorable mention honors, as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

This year's award marks the first all-conference certificate for Gibbs, who averaged a team-high in points (12.4), assists (3.0) and steals (1.8) in 34.3 minutes per game at the point guard position. In conference play, Gibbs averaged 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. The sophomore was one of 17 players recognized across the league.

Starting all 26 games this season, Gibbs led or co-led Wooster's scoring effort in 13 contests, including a career-best 26-point performance against Muskingum University (Dec. 18) and a 19-point game against then-No. 13 DePauw University (Jan. 28). In addition, the sophomore finished the season shooting 31.3 percent from the floor and 74.5 percent from the foul line (70-for-94).
