Sophomore Kylie Orr scored a season-high 16 points on the road against No. 9 DePauw University, but a heavy rebounding total and consistent shooting from the foul line led the Tigers to a 77-48 victory over The College of Wooster women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon at Neal Fieldhouse in Greencastle, Ind.

Orr, who tallied 10 of her 16 points in the fourth period, co-led all scorers while Orr and first-year Maria Janasko co-led the Fighting Scots with four rebounds each.

DePauw (19-1, 11-0 NCAC), who ascended back into the D3hoops.com top-10 poll last week at the No. 9 spot, totaled 17 offensive rebounds as part of 36 total boards to go along with a 16-for-19 showing at the free throw line.

The Scots (4-15, 2-8 North Coast Athletic Conference) found themselves down 9-0 midway through the first period before Janasko broke the silence with a jumper at the 4:58 mark.

First-year Sarah Marion made it a 15-8 game nearly eight minutes in before senior Aki Shurelds connected on her lone three-pointer of the game to draw the Scots back within four with 1:31 left in the first period.

After a 4-0 Tigers' run to end the period, Wooster again reached back within two possessions at the 8:41 mark after a layup from Janasko, but a 13-4 DePauw run stretched the lead to 34-19 entering the halftime break.

Wooster put up 13 points in the third period, led by a 4-for-4 showing at the foul line from Shurelds, who finished the game with seven total points. Overall, the Scots saw scoring efforts from five different players in the period for a 44 percent shooting clip while holding DePauw to 0-for-6 from beyond the arc.

In the fourth, Orr went 3-for-3 from the floor, including 2-for-2 from three-point range while first-years Sarah Rapacz and Jena Copley each tallied one block.

Despite the loss, Wooster remains tied with Allegheny College (5-13, 2-8 NCAC) for seventh-place in the NCAC, with Wooster holding the tiebreaker after defeating the Gators 62-60 earlier this month.

Up next, the Scots travel to Oberlin College (12-6, 8-2 NCAC) on Wednesday, Jan. 31 for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
