After winning a dual match in its inaugural event last week, The College of Wooster's first-ever women's golf team finished in fifth-place at the one-day Hiram Fall Invitational, held Sunday at the par-73, 5,720-yard Aurora Golf Club in Aurora, Ohio.

Wooster's expected No. 1 player was in the lineup after missing the dual due to an injury and freshman Rainey Sullivan led the team with a 108, putting together consistent nines of 54 on the front and 54 on the back. Sullivan's effort put her in the top half of the field, tying for 10th out of 23.

The reigning North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week, Janet Zahorsky, was next for the Fighting Scots with a 119, good for 16th-place. Additionally, Jane Siegel bounced back from a rough front nine (70) to place 18th with a 128, and also scoring for Wooster was DaSol Kuen, one stroke back and in 19th overall (129).

Next, the Scots head to the Allegheny Invitational on Oct. 3-4.
