The College of Wooster women's golf team was hoping to move up a spot in the standings during the second 36 holes of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Series, but was unable to take advantage of playing on its own home course – the Wooster Country Club. Still, the Fighting Scots maintained their fourth-place position throughout Saturday and Sunday to finish right in the middle of the seven-team conference.

Wooster shot similar rounds of 374 and 370 during the damp conditions, which resulted in a 1440 total for 72 holes, while Denison University hung on for third-place (1400). Nationally-ranked Wittenberg University (1280) won the team championship, followed by regionally-ranked DePauw University (1338), while the Scots were well clear of Allegheny College (1494), Ohio Wesleyan University (1537), and Hiram College (1885).

Individually, Emily Howerton closed her junior year strong with an 87 on the par-72, 5825-yard course while bouncing back from an uncharacteristic 95 during Saturday's round. Over the four rounds combined, she totaled 353 for 13th-place among the 34 competitors, good for honorable mention on the all-conference team and just two shots shy of second-team status.

Joining her on the All-NCAC Team was teammate Mallorey Stack. Coming off a strong first 36 holes last weekend, the Wooster junior overcame a tough third round and carded the team's second-lowest score (93) Sunday for a 364 total and 17th-place in the final standings.

The Scots were just one place, and two strokes, of having another all-conference honoree in Sharmeen Chinoy. The senior from India, who was cheered on by her family in attendance for the first time in her career, paced Wooster Saturday with an 89 and followed with a 96. Her 72-hole score of 368 resulted in 19th-place.

Also part of the starting lineup were Victoria Roney and Hannah Buzolits. Roney contributed to the team score both days via a 92 and 94, and was among the top-20 at the second NCAC event (tied for 19th). Buzolits, a medalist in the final regular season event of the spring, had an up-and-down weekend, but was part of the team score on Saturday (98).
