Senior Hannah Buzolits of The College of Wooster earned the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete-of-the-Week honor for women's golf after her exceptional performance over the weekend at the Wooster Spring Invitational, the league office announced on Monday.
Buzolits was the co-leader at the end of play on Saturday with her 76 playing a big role in Wooster setting the program record for lowest team score at 319. The senior's round got off to a roaring start with an eagle on the par-5, 479-yard No. 2.
For the tournament Buzolits shot a 160 and earned a runner-up finish.
This marks the second time Buzolits has earned the NCAC Athlete-of-the-Week honor, and coincidentally the other one came from her performance at the 2016 Wooster Spring Invitational, where Buzolits was the medalist with a 159.
Wooster opens play this Saturday in the NCAC Championship Series at The Country Club of Meadville in Meadville, Pa.
