Howerton Caps Career with Fourth WGCA All-American Scholar Selection

Emily Howerton

Recent graduate Emily Howerton earned her fourth career selection to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, per an announcement by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier this summer, Howerton was voted first-team academic all-district for women's at-large sports by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the second consecutive year.

As a four-year standout and the first three-time all-North Coast Athletic Conference honoree in program history, Howerton held a near-perfect grade-point average (3.98) while majoring in mathematics and philosophy.

On the course this season, Howerton averaged 85.4 strokes over 18 rounds this season and had three top 10 finishes at traditional tournaments.
