For the second consecutive year, The College of Wooster women's golf team topped Div. II East Stroudsburg University on its annual spring break trip, while overall, the Fighting Scots' 367 was the third-lowest score of the day among the four teams competing at Div. I Savannah State University's quad match on Wednesday afternoon at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.

Wooster, which bested the hosts in last year's two-team single-round outing, finished behind Savannah State (340) and Amherst College (342), currently the sixth-ranked Div. III team in the Golfstat rankings. The Scots were two strokes better than Warriors.

Victoria Roney's 85 anchored the Scots' lineup on the day and netted the senior a top-five showing. First-year Tongtong Wu checked in with an 89, good for eighth-place honors.

First-year Lilly Dunning (96), sophomore Kaci Carpenter (97) and first-year Megan Gronau (99) rounded out the Scots' lineup.

Savannah State's Rachele Orme earned medalist honors at 74.

Of note, Crosswinds Golf Club features a unique layout with five par 3s and five par 5s.

Wooster's northern portion of the spring schedule is set to commence at the Laura Bump Invitational, held April 7-8 at Mill Creek Golf Course in Ostrander, Ohio
