This Week's Outlook: The College of Wooster women's golf team heads to Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio for the 2018 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. The 54-hole tournament is set to open on Friday, April 27 and conclude on Sunday, April 29. Teams are slated to play 18 holes per day.

Tee Times: Friday's women's tee times start at 8:30 a.m., and pairings will be announced after the Golfstat rankings are updated. Tee times for the second and third rounds will be based on the team standings. The women will tee off on No. 1 starting at 12:54 p.m. on Saturday and No. 10 starting at 9:27 a.m. on Sunday.

A Look-Back at the 2017 NCAC Championships: Alumna Hannah Buzolits made program history by becoming the program's first-ever first-team all-conference performer, and the Fighting Scots had a program-record three student-athletes earn All-NCAC certificates at the conclusion of the NCAC Championship Series. Buzolits placed fourth overall with a 242, and capped her collegiate career with a team-best 85. Buzolits became the first Scot to place in the top-10 at the NCAC Championship Series.

Safari Masters: Wooster won the Ohio Wesleyan University Fall Invitational for the third time in the last four years this fall. The Scots' two-day total of 659 ranked 35 strokes ahead of second-place Ohio Northern University. Wooster featured the top three scorers in the field, as first-year Tongtong Wu (Shenzhen, China/Rolling Hills Preparatory (Calif.)) captured medalist honors at 162 and senior Victoria Roney (Fayetteville, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) and first-year Megan Gronau (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson) tied for runner-up honors at 164.

81 Times 5: Wu has turned in five 81s on the year, and a pair of 162s. In addition to finishing at 162 at the OWU Fall Invitational, Wu carded that same score at the Battling Bishop's Laura Bump Invitational this April despite playing in some of the coldest conditions of her career. Wu also shot an 81 at the Wooster Spring Invitational. She leads the team with an 84.7 stroke average, and has four top-five showings on the year.

The Lone Ranger: Roney's veteran leadership has been super beneficial to this year's team as the senior is the only upperclassman on the eight-player roster. Roney ranks second on the team with an 86.5 stroke average, and she has a pair of top-five showings to her credit this year. Playing against a field primarily comprised of Div. II competitors didn't phase the elder stateswoman this fall, as Roney's 168 at the Ohio Valley University Fall Classic netted the senior fifth-place honors. Roney, a returning all-conference honoree, has a pair of 80s this year, a score good for the co-lowest round on the team.

80 and "Sunny": Gronau has the Scots third 80 on the year, and that came in the second round of the Laura Bump Invitational back on April 8 in unseasonably cold weather. Gronau enters the NCAC Championships averaging 89.3 strokes per round, but she's gone low this spring with 85.4 strokes over five rounds. The rookie is coming off of back-to-back top-15 showings in tournaments with a field of over 60 golfers.

Welcome to the Top-10: Sophomore Kaci Carpenter (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield) is coming off her first collegiate top-10 showing. The sophomore shot a 173 at the Franklin Lady Grizzly Spring Invitational to finish in a tie for ninth-place. Carpenter is averaging 87.2 strokes per round this spring and has three 86s to her credit. Carpenter's first 86 came at the Laura Bump Invitational.

A New Collegiate Best: Sophomore Hannah Appleman (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) turned in an 83 in the opening round of the Laura Bump Invitational in near-freezing conditions. Applemen tied for 25th-place in the tournament and enters play this week riding back-to-back top-20 showings. Appleman is averaging 88.5 strokes per round.
