Following a weekend of record book performances, senior Tongtong Wu is this week's North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for women's golf, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Wu captured medalist honors for a program-record fourth time over the weekend, as Wooster cruised past Allegheny College in a 36-hole match, 670-717. Wu, who shot 159 for the weekend, carded a 77 on Sunday, one stroke shy of her collegiate-best. Of note, Wu joined Wooster alumna Emily Howerton as the lone student-athletes in program history to have three 36-hole scores of 159 or better. Wu's total is tied for the ninth-lowest 36-hole total in program history. She previously carded a 155 at the 2019 Laura Bump Invitational and a 156 at the 2019 Wooster Spring Invitational.

Wu's 77 is tied for the ninth-lowest round in program history, and it's two off the program single-round record of 75 held by Wooster alumna Hannah Appleman, who had a 75 at the 2019 Laura Bump Invitational.

Wu finished the weekend tops in the field in par-4 (4.50) and par-5 scoring (5.50).

The psychology major was previously the NCAC Athlete of the Week following an all-square performance in a match-play event against The Citadel in 2020.

Wooster's slated to be back in action at Denison University's Golf Invitational on Saturday, April 17.
