Wooster Cashes In Again with Another NCAC Athlete of the Week Honor

Ally Siewert, Wooster Golf Eight out of a possible 13 North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week awards have been earned by The College of Wooster women's golf team since the start of the 2022-23 season. Junior Ally Siewert is the latest recipient, earning the award following a co-medalist performance at the inaugural Westfield Collegiate Golf Classic last week.

Siewert and senior teammate Grace Lindgren shot 158s at Westfield County Club to help Wooster to its second tournament title of the fall. Siewert's final-round 78 was one off a collegiate low.

The junior, who became a first-time collegiate medalist, pulled into a tie for the award with a birdie on the par-5, 495-yard 18th hole at Westfield's North Course on Tuesday. The birdie marked the fourth of the tournament for the junior, who played 21 of the 36 holes at par or better.

Siewert was previously the NCAC Athlete of the Week following a third-place finish at last year's University of Mount Union Spring Invitational.

Siewert, and Wooster, are now aiming to win three tournaments in a row for the first time in program history. Up next is the program's annual Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational, which takes place October 1-2 at Wooster Country Club.
