Madison Carey has been scoring goals in bunches early this season, including four in The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team's 12-10 victory over Saint Vincent College, and for her efforts, the junior was named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week by the league Monday.

Saturday's game was a back-and-forth affair, and Carey beat the 'keeper twice in the first half to keep the Scots within one score (8-7) at halftime. Her goals in the second half were even timelier, though, as her first gave Wooster its biggest lead of the game (10-8), and her second came with just 2:25 remaining in regulation to keep Saint Vincent's comeback attempt at bay.

Overall, Carey leads Wooster with 15 goals on just 18 shot attempts this season, which equals an impressive .833 shot percentage. Dating back to last season, Carey has scored at least two goals in eight-consecutive games, with four or more goals in three of them.

The Scots will play their first home game of the season Tuesday at 5 p.m. against College of Mount St. Joseph.
