The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team extended its winning streak to five with its most decisive victory yet, a 19-5 rout of Millsaps College on Saturday in a neutral-site meeting played at Danville, Ky.

Clare Nelson-Johnson set the tone with a pair of goals less than five minutes into the action and she had a hat trick before the midway point of the opening half, her third score giving Wooster (5-1) a 4-1 advantage.

The Fighting Scots extended their lead to 7-1 before Millsaps (4-5) made a charge to pull within 8-4 at halftime.

The second stanza was all Wooster, as it netted seven scores during the first nine minutes, two by Cassie Greenbaum and two from Shelby Stone. The Scots produced an 11-goal run in all, and defensively, only lost the second-half shutout with 2:18 remaining.

Nelson-Johnson finished with five goals for the sixth time in her career, but the first this season, and she took just six shots on the day. Greenbaum also had a hat trick plus two assists for a five-point outing, while Ellie Hudson-Heck, Ashley Parry, Eliza Perry, and Stone tallied two goals apiece.

Also of note, Isabel Perman made her first career start at goalkeeper, notching two saves in the win.

Wooster will play the host school, Centre College (7-5), on Easter Sunday at 11 a.m.
