For the second year in a row, The College of Wooster has been named an Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, as the Fighting Scots join 125 schools in NCAA Div. III and just three other North Coast Athletic Conference institutions, the organization announced Tuesday.

In order to be named an Academic Honor Squad, the IWLCA requires a team to have a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average or higher.

Along with the team recognition, three individuals were awarded a place on the Academic Honor Roll for their efforts in the classroom. Those from Wooster that have reached junior status academically and had a GPA of 3.50 or better during the 2014 season were senior Alison Schlothauer (communication sciences and disorder, education), and juniors Shelby Stone (international relations) and Ashley Parry (sociology, women's studies and education). Schlothauer also earned the honor last year.

Wooster and Wittenberg University were the only two schools in the NCAC to have three individuals represented on the Academic Honor Roll.
