WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team piled up 20-plus goals for the second time in three days, as it rolled past Alma College 22-2 to give ninth-year head coach Elizabeth Ford her 100th career win Sunday afternoon on Andrew Turf Field at John P. Papp Stadium.

Already the program's all-time winningest coach and ranked 20th among NCAA Div. III active coaches in winning percentage entering 2015 (.677), Ford adds the "100 milestone" to her list of accomplishments.

There was little doubt what the final outcome would be early on Sunday, as Wooster (3-2) broke away from a 1-1 tie with eight consecutive goals – six on free-position shots. Shelby Stone took advantage of two free-position chances, while Ashley Parry, Shannan Pullara, Molly Sennett, and Jamie Wren-Jarvis accounted for the other scores in those situations.

Alma (1-5) halted the run to draw within 9-2, only to see the Fighting Scots net four more goals, including Stone's fifth of the half, and enter intermission with a 13-2 cushion.

Wooster was even more dominant during the second half, shutting out its visitors 9-0, with four of the tallies coming from first-years.

Supporting Stone's five-goal game, Helena Enders, Ellie Hudson-Heck, Parry, Pullara, Heather Szymanski, Mariel Ward, and Wren-Jarvis contributed two goals apiece in the victory. Ward added two assists for a four-point day.

Sennett fueled a Scots' defensive effort that limited Alma to just two shots, as she registered six caused turnovers and six groundballs, and Wynn Boehmcke also stood out with four groundballs and three caused turnovers.

Wooster begins North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday with a visit to Hiram College (1-2, 0-0 NCAC) at 1 p.m.
