For the third-straight game, The College of Wooster's women's lacrosse team scored at least 20 goals in a blowout win, as the Fighting Scots powered past Hiram College, 20-3, on Saturday afternoon in a North Coast Athletic Conference tilt at Henry Field in Hiram, Ohio.

The game remained scoreless six minutes into the action, but then the Scots (4-2, 1-0 NCAC) demonstrated just how quick their offense can strike. Wooster scored six goals over a 3:27 spurt, including a pair that came 11 seconds apart. First, Ellie Hudson-Heck tallied a goal to put the Scots ahead 2-0, and then Abby Szlachta won the ensuing draw control and took it to the house, to light the scoreboard just 11 ticks later.

Wooster eventually built a commanding 9-0 cushion before Hiram made good on a free-position opportunity to draw within eight (9-1). The Scots kept up the pressure, though, adding four more goals to close out the half, including three in a row from Helena Enders, which pushed their advantage to 13-1 at the break.

While the outcome wasn't in question in the second half, a couple milestones took place, most notably, Hudson-Heck's 100th career goal. Hudson-Heck took a Szlachta pass and rifled it past the goalkeeper to complete a hat trick and join teammate Shelby Stone in the 100-goal club.

Also noteworthy, freshman midfielder Mara Sheban scored the first and second goals of her career, pushing the list of players to score for Wooster this season to 13.

Enders, Hudson-Heck, and Heather Szymanski each scored three times in the rout, while Heather Honn and Szlachta had matching two-goal, one-assist outings.

Defensively, Szymanski and Emily Turnbull paced the team with four groundballs apiece, while Molly Sennett won three draw controls and caused two turnovers. The defense limited Hiram to just six shot attempts.

The Scots should face a bit more resistance when they visit Kenyon College (5-1, 0-1 NCAC) on Thursday at 5 p.m.
