The College of Wooster's women's lacrosse team is on a 12-game winning streak and Ellie Hudson-Heck has played a significant role in that success, including last week, when the junior midfielder recorded a hat trick in all three Fighting Scot victories to earn North Coast Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Week honors, the league office announced late Monday.

The Scots' offense has been dominant this spring, ranking fifth in NCAA Div. III with 17.13 goals per game. Hudson-Heck has done her share, with a career-high 48 goals, the fourth-most in the NCAC.

She's been particularly explosive as of late, with three or more goals in seven-straight games. Last week, she scored 11 times, beginning with a four-goal effort in an 18-13 victory over Allegheny College. Next, she chipped in three to help Wooster cruise past Ursuline College, 20-11, and then she tallied another four in a decisive 16-6 win against Ohio Wesleyan University.

Hudson-Heck contributed in other areas as well, with nine draw controls, seven groundballs, and six caused turnovers. She also passed out two assists on the week.

Wooster (13-2, 7-0 NCAC) controls its own destiny when it visits rival Wittenberg University (9-3, 6-0 NCAC) for its regular season finale Wednesday at 7 p.m. If the Scots win they will be NCAC Champions for the first time since 2010.
