Four members of The College of Wooster women's lacrosse squad – sophomore defender Wynn Boehmcke, junior midfielder Ellie Hudson-Heck, senior midfielder Molly Sennett, and senior attacker Shelby Stone – were selected to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team, announced the league office Tuesday.

The four first-team all-NCAC selections were more than any other school this year, and joining the quartet with honors were Abby Szlachta, a junior who was voted second-team at attack, and Emily Turnbull, an honorable mention recipient as a senior defender.

Boehmcke had a breakout season, taking over as the leader of Wooster's high-pressure defense. As a team, the Fighting Scots ranked first in the conference in caused turnovers at 10.62 a game, and individually, she totaled 17 in NCAC games-only to tie for second in that category. Boehmcke also earned credit for 28 groundballs in such games, tied for the fourth-most.

Hudson-Heck, now a three-time member of the All-NCAC First Team, was a factor all over the field again. Wooster's top goal scorer, she netted 30 during the eight league games, which marked the fifth-best average (3.8 gpg), while chipping in four assists, and she also ranked fifth in draw controls with 34. Defensively, Hudson-Heck piled up 12 caused turnovers and 24 groundballs in NCAC play.

Sennett, who becomes a first-team all-conference pick for the third time and four-time overall selection, took on a much more offensive-oriented role than in the past and excelled. She tallied 12 points coming on six goals and six assists during NCAC games, and more importantly, helped the Scots gain possession repeatedly as the draw control specialist. Sennett won 28 draw controls herself, and made her presence felt on the defensive half with 14 caused turnovers plus 22 groundballs.

Stone, a two-time all-league player, had one of the most prolific offensive seasons in Wooster history. Her 27 goals and 12 assists during the seven NCAC contests she played rated fourth in all three scoring categories – points (5.6 ppg), goals (3.9 gpg), and assists (1.7 apg). Season highlights included Stone firing in five or six goals in four of the conference games, including a five-goal, four-assist performance against DePauw University and a six-goal, three-assist effort at Allegheny College.

Szlachta was the finisher on many of Stone's assists en route to her first all-NCAC citation. She recorded 21 goals in league play, headlined by a career-high five at conference-champion and rival Wittenberg University. Szlachta contributed four assists, four groundballs, and three caused turnovers as well.

Turnbull was a strong complement to Boehmcke in the backfield, as the Scots limited NCAC opponents to 10.7 goals per outing. Statistically, she produced eight caused turnovers and 14 groundballs in those games.
