The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team earned its fourth-straight Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Squad accolade, while recently graduated senior Isabel Perman and junior Heather Szymanski both earned individual IWLCA Academic Honor Roll distinction, the coaches organization announced recently.

Perman, who also received an individual citation from the IWLCA last year, went 11-6 in goal while recording a career-best .431 save percentage. She was a key component of Wooster's defensive unit that held three opponents to five goals or fewer during the program's 7-0 start to the season.

Szymanski finished her junior year third on the team in goals (38) and points (50). She had a breakout game against Hiram College netting seven goals during a 21-3 win.

On the team side of things, the Fighting Scots were one of 131 Div. III institutions that were honored, a list that included four North Coast Athletic Conference peers.

To qualify for Academic Honor Roll distinction, student-athletes must have reached junior status academically and hold at least a 3.50 grade-point average. Teams must have posted at least a 3.00 grade-point average for the 2015-16 academic year.
