WOOSTER, Ohio – Led by a co-career-high nine draw controls from junior Megan Healy, The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team defeated the Adrian College Bulldogs 15-5 on Saturday afternoon at John P. Papp Stadium.

Healy, who has recorded nine draw controls in back-to-back games and now sits at 25 draw controls on the season, also tallied a game-high five groundballs to bring her season total to 20. The program single-season record for draw controls is 81, set by junior Emma Lawrence in 2016.

Scoring-wise, eight student-athletes tallied a goal for Wooster, with four of them recording at least one assist.

The Fighting Scots (3-1) were led by first-year Alexa Mellis's three goals and one assist. Additionally, senior Helena Enders and junior Laura Papp contributed two assists each.

Wooster shot out to a 9-0 lead less than nine minutes into the game before eventually capping off the unblemished run at 11-0 with 7:05 remaining in the first half.

Adrian (1-5) scored the final two goals of the half to head into the halftime break down 11-2.

Senior Michaela Lawrence opened the second-half scoring with her first of the game at the 28:07 mark before Enders and Mellis followed up with back-to-back goals in the 39th and 44th minutes, respectively.

After a pair of Bulldog goals to make it a 14-5 game with 10 minutes remaining, first-year Miura Wiley netted her second of the game – and the match's final goal – on a free position attempt with less than three minutes left to play.

First-year Katie Shideler and sophomore Emma Hambright each played 30 minutes in goal, with Shideler earning her second win of the season. Hambright totaled a season-high four saves.

Up next, Wooster travels to Baldwin Wallace University (3-4) on Wednesday, March 28 for a 7 p.m. match.
