Junior Megan Healy recorded nine draw controls for the third time this season, but a quick-striking Yeowomen attack was persistent all game long, and that led to a 19-7 win by host Oberlin College on Saturday at the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex in Oberlin, Ohio.

Six of Healy's nine draw controls came after halftime, and that's when Wooster (5-2, 1-1 North Coast Athletic Conference) had much better success on the draws as the Fighting Scots won 10-of-16 over the final 30 minutes. With her Saturday haul, Healy now has 46 draws on the year in seven games, and she's sitting one behind the 47 won last year with seven regular-season games remaining.

First-year Alexa Mellis tallied her team-leading 18th goal of the season to tie the game at one prior to Oberlin's Eliza Amber starting a 5-0 run with her first of two goals in the contest. First-year Ashley Boersma broke up the run with her fourth goal of the season with 7:34 to go in the opening half, and that made it a 7-2 game.

Oberlin's Sydney Garvis scored three of her team's next four goals as the Yeowomen opened up an 11-2 lead 3:04 into the second half.

Wooster's best stretch of the game was book-ended with goals by first-year Katie Harvey. The rookie's first goal came with 21:08 to go and kick-started a 3-0 stretch for the Scots. Junior Emma Lawrence, who assisted on Harvey's first goal, caused a turnover that led to a player-up goal by Mellis at the 17:11 mark. Harvey snuck in a free-position goal to cap the three-goal stretch.

Defensively, the Scots were paced by junior Megan Myers' four groundballs, and Lawrence and junior Rose Taylor had three each.

Oberlin's Natalie Rauchle led all players with six goals, and she surpassed 200 career points during the game.

Next, Wooster hosts Kenyon College (8-3, 2-1 NCAC) at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11.
