Senior Michaela Lawrence was one of three Scots with at least five draw controls on the night.

Wooster (8-3), which improved to 5-0 at home, roared from the get-go as first-year Alex Mellis cut towards the goal and fired one past Ohio Northern (6-7) 'keeper Shannen Larsen Van Alstine 22 ticks into the contest. First-year Ashley Boersma bumped the advantage out to 3-0 thanks to a pair of helpers, first from senior Helena Enders, and then from Mellis.

Wooster responded to a pair of Ohio Northern goals with a 4-0 run, the final two of which came from the hot stick of sophomore Jenny Grossmann, who made it a 7-2 tilt after her 15th goal of the season.

The Scots pulled away with a 6-0 run spanning the end of the first half and the start of the second period. Enders tucked home a pair of goals to make it 13-3 with 26:37 to go, and the Scots stayed ahead by at least nine goals down the stretch.

Wooster finished with a 14-draw control advantage over Ohio Northern on the night, in large part due to a 13-4 edge over the final 30 minutes. Junior Megan Healy tallied eight draw controls in the contest, while junior Emma Lawrence and senior Michaela Lawrence won five each. On the season, Healy now has 66 draw controls, and that's good for the fifth-most in program history, and the top mark since Emma Lawrence broke the school-record with 81 two seasons ago.

Defensively, Wooster tallied double-digit caused turnovers for the seventh time this season. Healy and junior Rose Taylor account for six of the 10 in the contest.

Offensively, the Scots' 19 goals were spread out among 12 student-athletes. Grossmann and Mellis recorded hat tricks, while Boersma, Enders, and Michaela Lawrence finished with two each.

Next, Wooster (3-2 North Coast Athletic Conference) travels to DePauw University (2-11, 1-4) for a noon clash on Saturday, April 21.
