The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team posted a 10-goal first half en route to a comfortable 18-10 win over DePauw University on Saturday afternoon at Reavis Stadium in Greencastle, Ind.

Eleven different Fighting Scots tallied a point on the day, led by 10 different goal scorers and three assists from junior Megan Healy. The win lifts Wooster to 9-3 overall and 4-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference as the Scots, who are currently third in the league standings, look to earn their first postseason appearance in two years.

Wooster opened to a 3-0 lead within the opening three minutes as junior Emma Lawrence, first-year Ashley Boersma, and senior Michaela Lawrence all found the back of the cage.

The Tigers (2-12, 1-5 NCAC) trimmed the deficit to one nearly four minutes later, but a momentum-shifting 7-0 run sealed the Scots' lead as Wooster took a 10-3 advantage into the halftime break.

Wooster opened the second half on a 4-1 run, with first-year Sydney Schuster closing the streak with her second tally of the game at the 19:01 mark to make it a 14-4 lead. After an exchange of goals with nearly 15 minutes remaining in the contest, the Tigers scored four straight and five of the next six to draw within six (15-9).

Following three minutes of scoreless play, sophomore Jenny Grossmann, first-year Katie Harvey, and senior Helena Enders all scored within the final two minutes to close out the game.

First-year goalkeeper Katie Shideler earned her eighth win of the season in 36:40 worth of playing time while totaling six saves on nine shots. Healy finished with a game-high eight draw controls and junior Laura Papp led the game with two caused turnovers. Both Healy and Michaela Lawrence scooped up a co-game-high four groundballs, while Harvey and Lawrence ended with three goals each.

Up next, Wooster hosts Allegheny College (7-6, 3-2 NCAC) on Wednesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m.
