Healy Named IWLCA All-Region For Second Straight Season

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association named junior Megan Healy of The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team as a second-team All-Great Lakes region selection for the second straight season, the organization announced Thursday.

Healy, a native of Ottawa Hills, Ohio, set single-season program records in groundballs (72) and draw controls (99) and finished the year tied for second in caused turnovers (42). In addition to leading the North Coast Athletic Conference in groundballs and caused turnovers, Healy ranked in the league's top five in draw controls while posting a career-high 17 goals and eight assists. The midfielder tallied a career-best five points (4 goals, 1 assist) at Whittier College (March 17) and a career-high three assists at DePauw University (April 21), and stepped up in NCAC play with 11 draws versus Allegheny College (April 25) and six caused turnovers against Wittenberg University (March 31). Notably, Healy logged five or more caused turnovers in four games and recorded eight or more draw controls on six different occasions while moving into the program's top-five all-time in career draw controls (160) and groundballs (158).
