Scots' Firepower on Display in 22-15 Win Over Cardinals

Angelina Bolivar and Syd Schuster The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team put up quite the offensive display en route to a 22-15 win over Otterbein University on Wednesday.

Britta Treu was credited with five goals and three assists to lead the way for Wooster. Kenzie Morris scored four goals and dished out three assists.

Jill Murray added four goals. Syd Schuster found the back of the net three times and also made two assists.

Hannah Shaw had two goals, while Caitlyn O'Connor scored three and added two assists as well. Angelina Bolivar rounded out the scoring with a goal.

Otterbein's Emily Willms led the Cardinals with six goals.

Otterbein came out with the game's first three goals and led 6-5 after the first quarter. Wooster then dominated the middle quarters 12-4, including taking an 11-9 lead at the half.

Wooster pulled away with a 6-1 third quarter. Treu scored four goals in the quarter.

Clare Leithauser led the squad with seven ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Wooster outshot Otterbein 47-29. CC Dent collected the win in net and made eight saves.

The Scots improve to 2-0, while Otterbein drops to 2-2. Wooster hosts Indiana Tech on Saturday.
