The College of Wooster's Syd Schuster earned second-team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region honors, as announced by the organization on Thursday morning.
Schuster, who debuted on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference squad as a first-team selection, led Wooster's 13-5 team with 49 goals and 61 points. The midfielder tallied a single-game school-record nine goals during a 17-11 NCAC win over Allegheny College on April 20. She added four goals three other times, including at Oberlin College, where the sociology major's free-position goal in overtime broke a 12-12 tie and sent Wooster home winners.
In the midfield, Schuster won 69 draw controls, a total second on the team, and the fourth-most in the NCAC as of when the NCAA Tournament started.
Schuster was one of 12 all-region selections from the NCAC.
