WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster women's soccer team completed its non-league season by rolling past Geneva College 3-0 at a sunshine-filled Carl Dale Field on Tuesday afternoon.

Wooster (6-4-1) dominated possession throughout, finishing with a 26-3 advantage in the shot department, but only had a single score to show for it through 76 minutes. In the 77th minute, though, the Fighting Scots' constant pressure paid off as Geneva (3-6) was whistled for a handball in the box, and Lauren Hancher converted the ensuing penalty kick into the upper right for a 2-0 cushion. It was the sophomore midfielder's second goal this fall, with the other also coming via a penalty kick.

Jessica Friesen made it a three-goal margin during the 83rd minute. Positioned just a few feet from the end line, Friesen hooked a lengthy right-to-left shot just inside the far post for her second goal of the year.

Wooster caught a bit of a break for its initial goal, as sophomore Rachael Davis appeared to serve a ball into the box from the right wing and the Golden Tornadoes' goalie mishandled it, eventually sneaking inside the left post in the 10th minute of action. Nonetheless, it was a score for Davis, the first of the defender's career.

Davis, along with the back line of Carly Joliat, Paige Madden, and Kimberly Seidell, also helped the Scots post their third shutout of the season. Keeper Elizabeth Clark easily saved all three of Geneva's attempts.

Wooster will play its second North Coast Athletic Conference match of the year on Saturday, as it hosts DePauw University (6-4, 2-0 NCAC) at 1 p.m.
