WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster's women's soccer team made a strong statement by limiting last year's North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament champions to just two shot attempts in its 2-0 victory over DePauw University on Saturday afternoon at a wet and rainy Carl Dale Field.

The Fighting Scots (7-4-1, 2-0-0 NCAC) lit the scoreboard at the 15:03-mark when Kyrsten Kamlowsky delivered a corner kick into the box, and Kimberly Seidell settled the ball and delivered a through pass to Kathleen Kalafatis, who beat the goalkeeper for her team-leading fourth goal of the year.

Not to be outdone, fellow first-year Kennedy Payne matched Kalafatis with her fourth in the 77th-minute, as her and Katherine Tuttle worked a well-executed 2-on-1 down the field, and Tuttle pushed the ball out into space where Payne was able to finish with the game-clinching goal.

DePauw managed just two shots, both in the first half, and Wooster cleared away all seven of the Tigers' corner kicks. Goalkeeper Sydney Hanzlik saved both shots she faced, and is now sporting a league-low 0.69 goals allowed average.

The Scots have shut out three straight opponents, and will look to make it four when they host Kenyon College (2-7-1, 0-1-0 NCAC) next Saturday at 1 p.m.
