Crystal Chavez converted a breakaway opportunity early in overtime to lift The College of Wooster women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over host Albright College, as the Fighting Scots started the 2014 season on a positive note Saturday afternoon in Reading, Pa.

Wooster had doubled Albright in shots, 10-5, through 90 minutes, but the squads were even on the scoreboard through 90 minutes. Just 2:17 into the extra session, though, the Scots took advantage of another chance on the offensive end as Chavez got behind the defense and beat the 'keeper one-on-one for her 11th career goal.

Lily Mohre, who missed all of last season due to an injury, struck a corner kick for a goal during the 19th minute to open the match's scoring.

Wooster held the Lions without a shot through the first half and maintained a 1-0 lead until midway though the second when they managed to tie it up.

Scot goalkeeper Carly Eppler had made two saves prior to that and finished with two for the game, as Albright never threatened to go ahead.

Wooster will play York (Pa.) College (1-0) on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
