The College of Wooster shutout its fifth opponent of the year, and third in its last four games, but it couldn't light the scoreboard either in a scoreless tie with North Coast Athletic Conference opponent DePauw University on Saturday at Greencastle, Ind.

Wooster (7-3-1, 1-0-1 NCAC) is unbeaten in four games against DePauw (2-5-2, 0-1-2 NCAC) since it joined the NCAC in 2011, but this was the first time the Scots' offense had been held in check by the Tigers, as they scored seven goals in their previous three meetings.

It wasn't that Wooster didn't have opportunities, as it outshot DePauw 16-9, with 15 of those shot attempts coming after the halftime break. Crystal Chavez nearly scored twice in the second half, but hit the crossbar and the post, and with just seconds remaining in regulation, Katherine Tuttle sailed a shot wide that prompted overtime.

The Scots almost delivered the golden goal in extra periods, but Tuttle blasted an attempt into the crossbar in the first overtime, and shots by Chavez and Lauren Hancher during the final 15 seconds of the second overtime were turned away by the 'keeper.

Both Carly Eppler and Elizabeth Clark went in on the shutout in goal, with Eppler making four saves over nearly 75 minutes and Clark with two saves during the last 35 minutes of action.

Next, Wooster hosts northeast Ohio foe Case Western Reserve University (6-1-2) on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
