The College of Wooster's Carly Joliat was named to the Academic All-District First Team for women's soccer, as voted on and announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). By being one of the 12 honorees within NCAA Div. III District 7 (Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio), Joliat now advances to the ballot for consideration on the Academic All-America Team®.

She also gets involved offensively, having chipped in two goals and four assists as the team's corner and free kick specialist. As a junior, Joliat was an all-North Coast Athletic Conference award winner.

Off the pitch, Joliat excels as well. She holds a 3.79 cumulative GPA while majoring in psychology with a minor in education, and has twice been named to the NCAC Academic Honor Roll. Additionally, she volunteers her time with PUSH, a campus group that promotes athletics for the physically disabled, and the Wooster Future Educators Association.

The Fighting Scots are currently 11-5-2 overall, including 4-3-0 in the NCAC, and will play archrival Wittenberg University (9-5-2, 4-2-1 NCAC), with a spot in the conference tourney on the line this Saturday at 5 p.m.
