TIFFIN, Ohio – The College of Wooster women's soccer team rallied from a one goal deficit, and a strong second half gave the Scots a 2-1 win over Heidelberg University on Sunday.

In the 28th minute, Heidelberg's Amanda Kilway scored her second goal in as many games off an assist from Erica Campbell to give the Student Princes a 1-0 lead heading into the half.

The second half belonged to Wooster, however. Junior Claire Davis tied it up right away in the 48th minute with her first goal of the season.

Almost five minutes later junior Krenare Rakoci would hit the goal that would eventually give the Fighting Scots the win. Senior Erica White was credited with the assist.

Wooster's aggressiveness paid off in the second half as they outshot the Student Princes 21-6 for the game. Wooster also had eight corner kicks to Heidelberg's three.

Molly Hutter and Maddy Ireton each played a half in net. Each made one save, but it was Ireton's work in the second half that rewarded her with her first win of the year.

Wooster is now 2-0 to begin the season, while Heidelberg drops to 1-1. The team will get a couple days rest before heading to John Carroll University on Wednesday.
