The College of Wooster women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 victory over fellow northeast Ohio foe Baldwin Wallace University, concluding the 2014-15 regular season on Monday inside the Scot Center at Wooster, Ohio.

In a match that was originally scheduled to be played at Baldwin Wallace, but moved to Wooster due to its ability to play indoors on campus at the Scot Center, Wooster (6-13) quickly opened up a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles competition. While the teams of Rose Chiumento-Elizabeth Brewington and Melanie Chin-Catherine Boyles cruised past their respective opponents at No. 2 and No. 3 by matching 8-2 scores, Rachel Molé and Morgan Wagers also picked up a point by prevailing in a close one, 8-6, at the top of the lineup.

Molé carried that momentum into singles, battling to a 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) win at the first position as she improved to 12-11 overall on the season, while Chiumento, starting at No. 2 singles for the first time this year, also was triumphant in a close match, taking an 10-8 decision in a third-set super tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets, 1-6 and 6-4.

The Fighting Scots showcased their depth in the bottom half of the singles lineup, with Brewington, Chin, and Boyles all coming out on top in straight sets at No. 4 (6-0, 6-2), No. 5 (6-2, 7-5), and No. 6 (6-4, 6-2), respectively.

This weekend, Wooster will be at the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament in Gambier, Ohio, starting with a quarterfinal match-up versus No. 35 ranked Oberlin College (12-9) Friday at 9 a.m.
