Sophomore Joy Li extended her No. 1 singles win streak to 14 straight during The College of Wooster women's tennis team's 8-1 victory over Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday evening at FoxCreek Family Tennis Center in Lorain, Ohio.

With the victory, Wooster improved to 12-2, marking the most wins with the 1997 season (16) and only the fifth time in program history in which the Scots have reached the 12-win mark.

The Fighting Scots swept doubles action starting with an 8-2 win by first-year Laura Haley and sophomore Shannon Sertz at No. 2. Following them were first-year Kendra Devereux and classmate Sarah Duran, who came out on top, 8-5, before Li and senior Morgan Wagers made it a 3-0 advantage with an 8-5 win at No. 1. Li and Wagers improved to 11-3 on the year, while Haley and Sertz garnered their ninth win of the year and Devereux and Duran combined for their sixth.

In singles, Sertz earned Wooster's fourth point with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3, marking her 11th win of the year, before sophomore Mali Zemedkun clinched the team win with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 6.

Notably, Duran, Sertz, and Wagers each have 10 or more singles victories this season, led by Duran and Sertzs' 11-3 records.

Up next, Wooster travels to Westminster (Pa.) College (9-6) on Friday, April 13 for a 4:30 p.m. match.
