The College of Wooster women's tennis team recorded its first North Coast Athletic Conference win since 2006 with a 9-0 blanking over Allegheny College on Saturday at the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pa.

While Wooster (14-2, 1-1 NCAC East Division) does have several wins over NCAC programs on its resume since 2006, including a recent 7-2 win over archrival Wittenberg University on March 29, 2018, today's win is the first officially designated as a conference victory based on how the league splits the teams into divisions.

Additionally, with the win, Wooster's now at 14 for the season, and that's tied for the second-most in program history and only trails the 16 the Fighting Scots had during the 1996-97 season.

Sophomore Joy Li kept her winning streak intact with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Allegheny's (6-7, 0-1 NCAC East Division) Amanda Ress Liere. In fact, Li's win marked her 18th of the season, a total tied for the third-most in program history, and the most since W Association Hall of Famer Kirsten Patton won 18 in 1988, a year removed from her single-season program best 21 wins.

On the day, the Scots dropped a total of seven games in singles. Morgan Wagers didn't drop a game on the week, as the senior posted her second consecutive 6-0, 6-0 win out of the fourth flight. First-year Kendra Devereux slid into the fifth flight and won her match 6-0, 6-0.

First-year Sarah Duran (6-1, 6-1) and sophomore Shannon Sertz (6-2, 6-0) rounded out the singles results.

In doubles action, first-year Laura Haley and Sertz rolled to an 8-0 win in the second flight while Li and Wagers teamed up for an 8-3 win in the top flight.

Wooster was unopposed in third doubles and sixth singles.

Next, Wooster takes on No. 23 Kenyon College (15-1, 1-0 NCAC East Division) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18.
