WOOSTER, Ohio - The College of Wooster volleyball team rallied to tie the match at one set each, and held a late lead in the fourth set, but visiting Kenyon College spoiled "Senior Night" with a 25-15, 23-25, 25-16, 25-23 win at Timken Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.

Delaney Swanson played a large role for Kenyon (11-11, 2-6 North Coast Athletic Conference) with five of her match-high 19 kills in the first set.

Anna Emmick keyed the spirited Wooster (12-13, 0-8 NCAC) comeback in the second set, hooking in back-to-back aces near the end line to tie the set at 19. Wooster would take its first lead of the match at 20-19 off a double-block from Savannah Moore and Lydia Webster. Kenyon tied the match at 21, 22, and 23 before an attack error by the Ladies and a kill from Emmick closed out the frame.

An early 5-0 swing in the third set swung the momentum back to Kenyon. Wooster closed to four at 18-14 after back-to-back kills from Megan Mey and Ksenia Klue, but four would be as close as the Fighting Scots would come down the stretch.

The tightly-contested fourth set tipped towards the Ladies when a kill from Alexi Donnelly forged the guests ahead by a pair at 16-14 and 17-15. Wooster promptly tied the set up with a kill from Webster and a double-block from Webster and Sydney Virgin. Wooster re-claimed the lead at 22-19 after three-straight attack errors from Kenyon, the second of which included a block from Emmick and Klue. Keyon would recover to take six of the next seven points to clinch the match.

Moore led the College on the night with a double-double (19 assists, 11 kills), finishing one dig shy of her second-straight and fifth overall triple-double. Emmick would finish with five blocks.

Prior to the match, Wooster honored its two seniors - Moore and Brittany Nicholson.

Wooster closes out its season at regionally-ranked Case Western Reserve University (21-5) at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
